Scuba
diving

dark

dive
site

a

as
many
underwater
creatures
and
plant
life
(different
from
those
you
see during the day) are active at night

You'll
learn
night
dive
planning,
organization,
procedures,
techniques
and
potential
problems.
You'll
also
learn
the
safety
aspects
to
night
diving,
the
considerations
for
maintaining
buddy
contact,
how
to
control
your
buoyancy,
entries,
exits
and
underwater
navigation
and
to
communicate
at
night.
As
many
of
the
plants
and
animals
you'll
see
are
different,
you'll
also
get
an
introduction
to
nocturnal
aquatic
life

Course Content
The PADI night diver specialty course consists of a knowledge development
session & 3 Open water dives which will cover:
•
Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems & hazards of
night diving
•
Proper procedures for buoyancy control, navigation and
communication
•
Use of dive lights and buddy-system techniques
•
Disorientation and emergency procedures
•
Orientation to nocturnal aquatic life
Knowledge Development
Knowledge
development
is
based
on
a
self-study
method,
allowing
you
to
study
in
your
own
time,
at
your
own
pace.
Home
study
is
backed
up
by
an
academic
session
with
a
PADI
Instructor,
to
ensure
full
understanding
of
night diving theory
Open Water Dives
Students
must
complete
3
Open
Water
dives
to
certify
as
a
PADI
Night
Diver.
During
these
dives
you
will
cover
correct
dive
torch
use,
effective
communication, navigational exercises & simulated dive torch failure
Prerequisites:
PADI
Open
Water
Diver
or
Junior
Open
Water
Diver
certification
(or
equivalent certification)
Minimum age: 12 years old
Now
that
you
have
mastered
the
techniques
for
night
diving,

improve
on
your
navigational
skills
during
the
PADI
Underwater
Navigator
Specialty
course.
This
will
enhance
your
navigational
skills,
making
navigation at night easier & more enjoyable.
Get five specialty ratings including Padi deep diver specialty
and Padi navigation diver specialty and you're on your
way to becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver.
