course
will
teach
you

ways to find objects underwater and bring them to the surface.
The
PADI
Search
and
Recovery
Specialty
course
is
a
great
way
to
learn
underwater
navigation
and
search
techniques
to
cover
all
eventualities
of
good
or
limited
visibility.
Students
also
learn
how
to
rig
and
attach
an
object
to
a
lift
bag
as
well
as
the
most
effective
and
safe
way
in
which
to
lift
the
object to the surface.
Find
lost
items
and
lift
them
to
the
surface.
It’s
fun
to
use
the
lift
bag.
Not
only
are
these
skills
fun,
but
very
practical
and
ultimately
useful
because
eventually,
you’ll
lose
something
in
the
water,
for
instance
dropping
anything
valuable
over
the
side
of
the
boat,
or
loose
something
like
a
torch
while
scuba
diving.
As
a
Search
and
Recovery
Diver,
you’ll
know
how
to
search
for
and recover it.
During
this
course
you'll
learn
search
and
recovery
dive
planning,
organization,
procedures,
techniques
and
how
to
deal
with
potential
problems.
How
to
locate
large
and
small
objects
using
search
patterns.
How
to
use
a
lift
bag
and
other
recovery
methods.
Limited
visibility
search
techniques.
Course Content
The course consists of a knowledge development session & 4 Open water
dives which will cover:
•
The planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and
hazards of search & recovery diving
•
Limited visibility diving and underwater navigation techniques
•
Proper techniques and safety considerations for object location,
including the use of various search patterns, lines and reels
•
Proper techniques and safety considerations for recovery of objects
using various lifting devices
Knowledge Development
Knowledge
development
is
based
on
a
self-study
method,
allowing
you
to
study
in
your
own
time,
at
your
own
pace.
Home
study
is
backed
up
by
an
academic
session
with
a
PADI
Instructor,
to
ensure
full
understanding
of
search and recovery equipment, techniques and navigation.
Prerequisites:
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent certification)
Minimum age: 12 years old
Open Water Dives
Here
in
the
Mediterranean
on
the
Costa
Blanca
students
will
complete
4
Open
Water
dives
to
certify
as
a
PADI
Search
&
Recovery
Diver.
During
these
dives
you
will
demonstrate
various
methodical
search
patterns
of
both
small
and
large
areas
to
locate
missing
objects.
You
will
also
demonstrate
the
ability
to
rig
a
lift
bag
using
a
variety
of
knots,
and
safely
raise
an
object
to
the surface with the aid of a lift bag
Get five specialty ratings including Padi deep diver specialty
and Padi navigation diver specialty and you're on your
way to becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver.
